Seems to me that the political cry of its for the public good, which has been spoken historically by politicians inorder to justify and qualify a new policy action has been usurped and replaced with the cry its for the economic good.With no input by the people or public debate.All of a sudden this is the way our politicians refer to the public good,through their economic filter rather than our comeunitys moral and ethical filter.This totaly changes the dynamics of our societys debate, and by its design supports a economy based on profit and shareholders quarterly profits rather than the public good and well being of lets say-our air,our water,our forests to name several examples. This subverts the public good with the corporate good. And This must be remedied.

I believe the corporations with collusion of many of the worlds goverments are taking back the ground gained over the years by labor unions, enviromentalists and poverty activists. All under the guise of its for the economic good.Since NAFTA our side of the planet is losing jobs to other parts of the earth that have cheap labor much quicker than any time in history, this cheap labor comes with little if any enviromental standards or health and safety guidelines. I will site china  AND THE MANY RECALLS OF PRODUCTS PRODUCED THEIR WITH LEAD PAINT, MANY ITEMS MEANT TO BE UTILIZED BY OUR CHILDREN. These products would not have made it through our rigerous old system with the Public Good as its highest priority.

Our economic system is dysfunctional and cannibalistic as it is presently being allowed to run. I believe that we must reinstate the public good as the automatic default against which we make our future and present decsions. And that we must rethink our economy. And educate ourselves again about the beauty of our planet and the life it brings and whats required by the ecology to continue and most importantly base our politicians and corporations within laws with guidelines firmly set and enforced.That have powers and processes to ensure accoubntability.REAL ACCOUNTABILITY.
